Why wasn't my letter published?

15 Jun 2017

Dear Sir, - Forgive me if I err but I thought your editorial or elsewhere stated that you would not allow political statements in last week's Chronicle because there was no chance of reply.

You then allowed two very political letters by the Labour candidate though in fairness, one was in response to a previous political one.

As I altered my letter to comply with your edict and it still was not published, I do wonder what attention to give to future similar directives. - Yours faithfully,

(DR) PETER HIRST

● As the Editor was on holiday last week, the letters pages were produced earlier than usual and Dr Hirst's letter arrived too late. - Editor.
