What sort of Brexit deal is the concern

Dear Sir,

I write partly not to disappoint A Corbett in last week's Chronicle, p33 who accused me of tilting at windmills and expects me to continue to argue my case for a second referendum.

I have to inform him that the conversation has moved on since our referendum last June.

The discussion that I and others are intending to provoke is what sort of Brexit we are heading for and is it in our long-term interests.

Also, of course if we do not like where we are heading, is there anything we can do about it.

Surely, if a ship is heading for the rocks it is the duty of everybody to do their best to prevent it being grounded.

This is regardless of how the ship got into this position and who is at fault.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Peter Hirst
