Regulations are in need of modifying
Dear Sir,
Reading in last week's Chronicle that the White Moss Quarry site is outside the Alsager boundary and knowing of similar applications in Congleton it seems that the regulations require modifying.
I know neighbouring parishes have consulting rights and can add their objections to applications that will affect them.
However, in terms of area allocations, these applications have no status in neighbouring larger councils though they clearly will determine infrastructure requirements such as roads, schools, surgeries etc. in them.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Peter Hirst
