Multi-storey car parks free up land
Dear Sir,
Now that Bosson's Mill is substantially demolished might I suggest a use for that site that would benefit the town in a number of ways.
If it was used to build a multi-storey car park, this would act as a focal point for the many tourists and visitors who visit the town by private transport.
Multi-storey car parks are a sensible way of using land in the right circumstances as they position all parked cars in close proximity, thus assisting security and other logistic measures.
They free up other areas of land within the town presently used for such purposes and improve its landscape.
They also encourage walking within the town by presenting visitors with a safe car parking environment within a reasonable distance of their destination.
It is more easily accepted that parking in such an area will cost a small amount to maintain its amenity.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Peter Hirst
