Lib Dems are ‘only sensible’ choice

Dear Sir,

Regarding the front page story on the infi ltration of Labour by the Momentum pressure group, I have to say that this was not in the least surprising considering some of the responses you can view on the Facebook page "Congleton chats about politics".

While the Momentum members are very proud of their organisation, it is interesting to watch non-Momentum members panic about what to say and how to handle this growing faction within Labour.

"The Labour party will always come fi rst," is the cry of a football manager who says the club is bigger than a player, only to fi nd himself sacked in the morning. I think that this infi ghting will only grow throughout the coming year.

What is clear is that with elections in 2019, the people of Congleton will decide whether we can really afford another term of corruption and scandal from a Conservative controlled council, a Momentum inspired Tower Hamlets style of council, or can they put faith in the Lib Dems to bring a fresh and resolute approach to council management?

The Lib Dem choice really is the only sensible one.
