Hospital Charges Parking Furore

Dear Sir,

What surprises me about the furore about the parking charging arrangements at Macclesfield Hospital is that no internal organisation has taken action.

East Cheshire Health Authority holds regular Board Meetings that I presume are open to the public to explain their policies.

This is a perfect place for this issue to be discussed by people who have the authority to make a decision.

Is it that that financial issues are so pivotal that very little else makes its way on to the agenda?

Surely, senior management realises that what the public think of their service is important.

Or is it that no-one within the hierarchy is aware of the problem or thinks it is important enough to merit discussing in a public forum?

Yours sincerely,

Dr Peter Hirst
