Clarifying my views on Fanny's Croft

Dear Sir,

Perhaps I ought to clarify my letter of 13^th June where I set out my views on the Fanny Croft site in Alsager that drew several letters in response.

I was merely pointing out that the site was a better place for Alsager Town football club than its present position.

If I had realised the full implications of the enabling development that would be necessary for its completion, I would not have written it.

As a standalone project, it has many advantages as I detailed in my letter.

As an enabling development for more than a few properties, it is a non-starter.

I thank those who pointed this out and offered me the opportunity of visiting and discussing the site with them.
