Brexit could be risky business

Dear Sir,

I've not doubt that John Bamford, James Dyson and Digby Jones, mentioned in your correspondent's letter of 14th April, p43 sincerely believe that trade would improve if we exited the eu, it is only their belief.

There are countless people who believe otherwise.

It is very tempting to focus on the barriers to trade and blame them for experiences that are part of being in business.

It is in my opinion risky to believe that our economy will improve if we exited.

As s(he) states we are the sixth largest economy in the world and have much to lose if we get it wrong.

Incidentally, please explain why this letter was published without the correspondent's name.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Peter Hirst
